I have been compiling a lineage of Markneukirchen workshop brands based on brand stamps and export labels:
· 1920s-30s: many Stainer / Amati copies exported, handwritten-style labels
· after 1950s: numbered production lines, visible changes in f-hole and purfling workmanship
· 1970s-80s: several factories shifted to electronic instruments, so fewer wooden instruments from this period
Still incomplete, especially on subcontracting (one factory labelling for many brands). Photos of actual instruments are very welcome; I will keep updating.
