A violin made in Shanghai in 2010 by Zhang Li, one of the very few makers in the Chinese violin industry to hold a technical invention patent. He introduced precision measurement into traditional hand-making, and is a leading authority in China on making and voicing. He has restored and voiced fine old instruments for the concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera, Prof. David Fruhwirth (Head of Strings, University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna) and many other internationally known players. Instruments by Zhang Li are beautiful in tone and highly collectable.
